School Holiday Program Dates 2024

Come along to a Soul Stitches holiday program for a taste of creativity this coming break. 

 

We will be running school holiday programs on the dates below.

Small groups - Minimum age 10 years

All projects are cut and ready to go, machines fired up and snack prepped.  When you arrive, you will choose your preferred colour combination of your chosen activity and we will run through the machine basics before we get started. 

You will leave at the end of the session with a completed project to be proud of, having learnt many new skills to help build your sewing confidence.

Wednesday 3rd April 9:30am - 12:30pm

Draw string bag with front pocket.

 

$90.00 - 10 years plus  Great for beginners

Come along and make draw string bag with panelled front pocket.  The bag is made from a lightweight drill with contrast front pocket. It has cord drawstring and is a great bag for use at the beach for swimming lessons or dance class.

You will learn how to sew a French seam, how to make a double fold casing, how to leave an opening in the casing, edge stitching and threading cord through a casing. 

Experience is not necessary.

Wednesday  3rd April 1.30pm - 5:00pm

Pencil case 

$90.00 - 10 years plus  Must have previous experience.

Come along and make one of the very popular Soul Stitches pencil cases with a small zip pocket on the front.  The main section of the pencil case is made from denim, and it has a contrast zip pocket on the front.  It is fully lined, and fully washable.

You will learn how to sew a regular seam, insert a zip, create the lining and lots of other little hints and tips to start or improve your sewing journey. 

Thursday 4th April  12:30pm - 4:30

Shoulder bag with zip front pocket

$100.00 - 11 years plus​ - must have previous sewing experience

Come along and make one of the very popular Soul Stitches shoulder bags with a zip front pocket.  The  bag is made from denim and has a contrast zip opening pocket on the front.  The bag is fully lined, and the strap is made from a recycled belt sourced from op shops.

You will learn how to sew a regular seam, insert a zip, create the lining and finish with top stitching and lots of other little hints and tips to start or improve your sewing journey.
